Good so far, the naming scheme is a bit confusing, but you can still connect the dots. The gameplay is better in the sense that you can switch cats anywhere, and some skills are passive, but they take a while to grind for. I like the addition of Perfect (damageless) runs, but bell requirements felt a bit high, at least there's no lives system. I did notice there's some kind of a memory leak, so the frame rate slows down the longer you play until you reopen the game. Might wanna fix that.

I love this game soo much. The 8-bit graphics and the simple but very catchy music make this game great. Although the game is great, I would like the story to progress because once you defeat one of the major bosses, I believe you go into this cave and find Luna and yeah thats all she wrote. Besides all of that, I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to kill some time or get that nostalgic feel.

Super Cat Tales 2 takes the original by storm and amps up stories and characters in thoughtful ways. It's a shame there aren't more devs that take time and care into all aspects of gameplay. A bit of a dying art. Moreover, to the people with complaints about purchases, it takes time and effort to build and design a game with many facets and nuances to consider. Especially games like this. With minor purchases, you are rewarded with fun and engaging gameplay. Looking forward to Yokai Dungeon!
