Would like to preface this by saying this is one of my favorite books. I bought it back in 2004 when I was in middle school and my physical copy is too well loved to the point it is falling apart. However I cannot give this a good rating. I didn't realize the anniversary update was going to strip the book of everything that made it nostalgic and the realistic humor that made it so good. I loved the original because of how real the characters felt. I went and looked side by side and some of the parts that made me laugh the hardest had been altered to be unrecognizable. I tried to give the update a chance but I'm just disappointed and cannot receive a refund. If you are coming here as a fan of the original novels, please just go buy the original editions on eBay or something.

I loved this book when I read it. It's so relatable because it talks about teenage girls and their lives through text messages. I couldn't put it down!
