About this app

This app will help you access hidden network settings for forcing band selection on Samsung phones. Some example use cases may include, but not limited to:
- Discovering new 4G LTE / 5G NR bands in your area
- Avoiding congested bands by manually selecting a well-known uncongested band
- Crowd sourcing contributions (e.g. CellMapper)
- Curiosity

There is also an option to access "More Network Settings", which contains dual SIMs settings for VoLTE, APN, Wi-Fi calling, etc, when supported by your device and carrier.

Tested on Samsung devices running One UI 2.0 and up. Compatibility verified by the community on Galaxy S8, S9, S10, S20, Note8, Note9, Note10+, A30, A50 J6,...

For frequently asked questions, please see the in-app "Help" menu via the app's toolbar Help action menu.

Fantastic app when it worked. Unfortunately changes made by Samsung and/or the network carriers seemed to kill the app. I loved it when it was working! I live more rurally, so 5g sucks a big fat one since the infrastructure isn't reliable enough yet. Using 4gLTE is much more useful in my situation. It's not the developers fault that it's broken. So I'm keeping my 5 star rating because the changes are are out of their control. Maybe one day it'll be more functional again.

recent OS update from Samsung has "killed" the app and the launch band selection menu gives an error. There's a workaround from within that app that I found which may or may not work for you all. I have Verizon so this worked for me. Go to "more network settings" in the app, the tap on the network name (IE verizon) active/sim, then go down near bottom of the screen and select "preferred network type". It should let you manually select LTE/4G. Hope this helps!

Thank you Mitchell Hall! Selecting the More Options button did the trick to switch to 4g. It was getting so annoying: I'd connect great at home an hour south of work in a big city, then halfway to work, ot went from 5g to whatever automatic selection that's supposed to be "better". Spotty, popping in and out in streaming, even just audio! Hopefully the criminals at Verizon will fix it soon(but probably won't).
