Great DIY media server client! Coming from Plex, Jellyfin has been an empowering experience while recreating my media server. This app seems to work well so far too. Streaming and downloading content has worked without any major issues. I haven't tried casting to a TV yet, but it seems to have that functionality. All the server customizing features have a bit of a learning curve though. Naming my files to be identified correctly was a bit of a hassle for example.

Great software, love it keep it up. Recommend for anyone running a home server or has videos or a collection they want to digitize. Only complaint is the UI isnt very customizable, and it is very poorly laid out on some devices but there isn't a ton u can do about that.

I used jellyfin to setup a remote streaming server. I used guides online to setup the server, and to setup the client, client being the android app (this app) I have had zero issues. HEVC hardware acceleration somewhat works but I am running on a raspberry pi, so that is completely understandable. Setup your media folders correctly and the jellyfin interface will automatically parse all of your media.
