I'm not sure what happened between the first generation of the Vistas, but the Vista 2 is not up to the standard that I expect from Jaybird. The connection between the earbuds and my phone is spotty at best if there's any sort of breeze or shade. I'd honestly be better off with a can and string for music than using the Visat 2s for my runs. The connection was so bad during my half marathon recently that I replaced them with a small portable speaker that I had the wherewithal to bring with me.

I have not been able to use the app at all. After trying two different "solutions" from the support team, I can actually get the app to open (I initially couldn't), but only if the earbuds are not connected. I can't play with the equalizer settings or button assignments unless the buds are connected though. It's been a very frustrating experience. I'm using a Pixel 6a running Android 14. The buds themselves work great, it's just the app that is terrible.

The second it tries to connect, the app crashes, it won't stay open for 1 second the buds require an update which I can't access because of the crashes. I also can't customize the buttons or EQ until that's fixed. I'm using a Pixel 7 Pro on Android 14. Hopefully this is fixed soon because I really like the buds. EDIT: I think the App has been updated since now it connects without crashing, I was able to run all updates and change my control settings and EQ and it has not had any problems since.
