This app does not natively support older Chromecasts (audios in my case). This utility REQUIRES you to disable wifi to even begin the search for a new device. But CCA's and older Chromecasts do not have BT, they require WIFI. So after you begin searching for the device (having disabled wifi) you have to go in the background and re-enable it. Then the CCA will be discovered, and activated. After that, you are presented with a button to proceed back to the Home app, and the setup finished.

App forces you to disable wifi, which must be ENABLED to actually activate various devices (eg Google home mini, older Chromecast). Not only do I have to use a different app to setup these devices, but to make it work I have to disable wifi when forced to, then quickly re-enable it during the scan to make this work. Just terrible.

Thanks a lot Google, you've managed to screw things up and now I can't connect to my Chromecast no matter what I try, even though it worked PERFECTLY FINE a few months ago. Guess I'll be getting rid of it and going with an Amazon Firestick. What is the point of requiring YET ANOTHER APP just to activate my Chromecast? This was stupid all around.
