This game is a delight to play. The voice acting and artwork is top notch. Don't get discouraged if it feels impossible at the beginning. Things get easier as you progress, even though you're sent back to the start when you lose. I enjoyed getting to hear the dialog again. In total, I was sent back to the start 5 times before I made it through. The save is very helpful. Save anytime, and don't lose your current progress. Thank you Netflix for bringing this game to subscribers!

I love the story, the art, and the idea of turn based, tactical dodgeball. Unfortunately, the rouge like elements are completely at odds with the story mode (I haven't unlocked challenges yet, so I'm unable able to comment on those). The story is about rekindling relationships that have been abandonded. After losing a match, all progress is reset not just mechanically but narratively too. Having this kind of reset is contradictory to the story's themes of love and support. It's disheartening.

Solid game. On the shorter side (Already beaten it). I wish the game either leaned into the rogue lite structure/ progression or scrapped it. As it stands, getting kicked back to the start is more frustrating than anything else, and the progression isn't compelling enough to make that frustration worth it. Good story, good game mechanics, some tuning on the mentioned component would substantially boost it. Either make dying worthwhile or don't have it send you all the way back. Worth playing.
