Time Rise - Digital hourglass

I need a 30 second timer for stretches and such. Yes, the clock app has a stopwatch but those buttons can be hard to hit when you're doing a plank and then you have to watch it. And here is the perfect app that doesn't even need one screen tap at all! Just flip the phone over for the next rep and I can easily set a sound that I can hear clearly so no looking required at all. Perfection. No ads, no fuss. I thought I'd have to write one myself but here it is already! Thank you!

So simple in design yet so intuitive. Does what it advertises without unnecessary bloat. I use it as a pomodoro timer when studying. I just lay my phone on a stand with the timer and let it do its thing. The simple design makes it so it isn't too distracting while at the same time keeping me aware of the timer without diverting too much attention. And the motion controls makes sure I don't have to interact with my phone more than I have to. 5 ⭐ all around for me!

I use this app quite regularly for a few months now and I am in love with the visual feature of the widening colour bar mimicking the experience of a sand timer. It's minimalist design and function is perfect for my needs... However personally I think it would be very interesting if the app had an option to only present the colour sliding background without the countdown displayed. I think this would be greatly beneficial for anyone who can get stressed from a countdown timer like myself.
